The research group “RECEPTION” (“Interdisciplinary Reception Studies”), REF CCHH2019/739, which is led by Prof.Dr. PALOMA ORTIZ-DE-URBINA, Professor at the University of Alcalá, gathers researchers from various disciplines and countries who share an interest in the field of Reception Studies. United in their research interests, the interdisciplinary and international team investigates the imprint, impact and influence that cultures exert on each other when they come into contact.

The group has been recognised as “High Performance Research Group” since the first Resolution of Recognition of Research Groups, Research Commission of 23 October 2019 UAH till now.

RECEPTION conducts research in cultural contact from a multidisciplinary perspective, since its members are specialists in different cultural fields, such as literary studies, musicology, music studies, philosophy and history.
