«THE RECEPTION OF GERMAN EXPRESSIONISM IN THE AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA. MYTHS, FANTASY, TERROR AND SCIENCE FICTION»

The VI International RECEPTION Conference analyzed the way in which the reception of German Expressionist cinema took place between 1920 and 2020, the way in which this impact was articulated, the factors that influenced it, as well as the tools it made use of. The reception, impact and/or imprint of German Expressionism in the audiovisual media (cinema or television series) within the fantastic, horror, science fiction or mythological genre was studied. During the congress, cinematographic analysis, studies on the relationship between texts (novels, stories, poems, scripts) and audiovisual products, as well as the use of soundtracks in these productions were discussed.
